The "Cantina Sociale di Trapani"
(cooperative store of Trapani) is amongst Sicily's oldest cooperative stores for the sale of wine. It was founded back in 1955 by a group of viticulturists from Trapani in order to undertake and execute the member's grape processing in cooperation and to improve the vine cultivations, aiming at an increase in wine consumption..

Forty-six years later, considered the evolution of life styles and the different occasions for drinking wine, the Cantina Sociale di Trapani has pursued as its prime target the products quality, pointing towards the market of "new consumers" and disregarding the great quantities, aiming to achieve a superior quality level result..

In the last few years, in, a selective choice of the best grapes amongst the member's vineyards has been operated, carrying out the wine-making process with modern technologies, and obtaining wines of significant gastronomical value. Consequently came the idea of initiating bottled wines with the brand names: Forti Terre di Sicilia and Drepanum... innovating products, destined to a new market, always proceeding on the same trail, paved by old and strong traditions.
